The Bible and History

Alright, alright, I know:  most of you would rather have a root canal than pull out your Bible.  Why?  Because it's so bloody boring, and it's also so boring and bloody.  At least that's what you get whenever you read an "Authorized Version" which has been translated precisely to give you that impression.  But when you get into the original, the picture changes altogether - or when you consult with people with a knowledge of Hebrew and Aramaic.  Then you realize:  Wow!  This book is TRULY bizarre.  What A Tale!
